Editorial policy and disclosures
How evidence is selected, attributed, reviewed and corrected.
Energy Drink Facts is an independently operated information publication. It is not an official publication of a manufacturer, assessed brand, regulatory authority, university, research institution or trade association.
Editorial responsibility
Energy Drink Facts is responsible for selecting, summarising and maintaining the material published on this website. A source’s inclusion does not mean that the website endorses every conclusion, scoring decision or interpretation made by that source.
Commercial independence
Manufacturers and assessed brands do not control editorial wording or research conclusions. Evidence summaries and ranking coverage cannot be purchased. If a material commercial relationship becomes relevant to a page, it must be disclosed on that page.
Evidence classification
Peer-reviewed research, regulatory assessments, institutional laboratory reports, market surveys and independently organised rankings are labelled separately. These evidence types answer different questions and are not presented as interchangeable.
Source and citation rules
Original studies, official reports, laws and first-party methodology pages are preferred. Material claims should carry an adjacent citation, and references state the source type and review date. Secondary reporting is used only when it adds necessary context.
Corrections
Verified factual errors are corrected promptly. The page’s modification date is updated, and a visible correction note is added when a change materially affects the meaning, evidence or conclusion. Minor spelling or formatting changes do not require a correction note.
Reviews and updates
Time-sensitive pages display a review date. Reviews check whether links still work, whether source material has changed, and whether a statement remains accurate for its stated market, population, product and time period.
Research rankings and brand names
Brand or product names may appear when they are necessary to report the exact findings of an identified external assessment. Their inclusion is factual reporting, not advertising or endorsement. Ranking results apply only to the product variants, package sizes, samples and criteria described by the original source.
